Whiteman Park near Perth's Swan Valley is a perfect bushland escape from the city. Here you can enjoy a barbecue or picnic, go bushwalking and cycling, and take in some of the local attractions including an antique display, Transport Museum, Tractor Museum, shops and a café. The kids will love the historic tram and train ride which tours through a large slice of the park. Nearly half of its 4,300 hectares is designated as a conservation reserve.
